Quantum Tech Staffing is seeking a Business Analyst for a contract position in Trenton, NJ.

Candidate will be the functional expert/business analyst for the Hippocrates Health Emergency Preparedness and Response web application and is responsible for gathering/documenting and translating user requirements from users to the technical team.

An additional requirement for Formal OO Methodologies is strongly preferred.

Years of Relevant Experience as a Business Analyst: 5 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree

Roles and Responsibilities:
o Ensure that overall application designs remain within project scope.
o Work with customer business units to understand their business processes.
o Work with customer business units and clients to identify direction of software.
o Ensure business requirements are supported by the software.
o Liaison between customer business units and the technical team.
o Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Analyze, define, and document how the applications will support functional and business requirements. Coordinate these efforts with technical team/product specialists/programmers.
o Understand supporting/interfacing system applications.
o Understand prioritizing work based on business needs requests, software releases for work affecting the application.
o Manage the accomplishment of delivery metrics, Service Level Agreements and other contractual obligations within areas of responsibility.
o Sponsor coordination of the required skills, training, methodologies, and processes to ensure the success of the team/project/program goals.
o Coordinate and conduct project review meetings with Group Team Lead..
o Monitor and measure maintenance and development process effectiveness.
o Communicate clearly the program/application goals, operational and organizational philosophies, and policies and procedures to the technical team.
o Communicate to team members their relationships between their work and assignments and the organizational and/or program objectives.
o Must submit writing sample during interview.

Required skills:
o Prior Business Requirements analysis and gathering – 10 years
o Prior experience with Formal Object Oriented Methodologies – 5 years
o Facilitate and document meetings with users – 5 years
o Use case design, statements of scope, requirements modeling – 3 years
o Prior experience developing training plans – 3 years
o Visio 2007 and above – 1 year
o User acceptance testing as a business analyst – 2 years
o Provide post implementation support to business – 2 years
o Experience defining health/emergency preparedness reqts – 3 years
o Very strong written and verbal communication skills
