Quantum Tech Staffing is seeking a J2EE Programmer for a contract position in Trenton, NJ.

The Programmer is responsible for coding modifications to existing code as well as new modules for program. Responsibilities include component testing, verification and migration to production and documentation.

Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study

Roles and Responsibilities:
o Plan all required process steps.
o Review and understand the Application Team’s work-plan.
o Provide status of work to Team Lead.
o Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team.
o Develop contingency plans as necessary.
o Engage in ongoing process improvement.
o Detailed functional and process knowledge.
o Utilize deep modeling, design and coding skills.
o Provide expertise in one or more database environments.
o The contractor shall utilize Java GlassFish 2.1 software with the JDK 1.6 software kit.
o The contractor shall follow the OIT application standards and guidelines document when developing the application code.
o OIT follows a 3 Tier Architecture design which the contractor shall incorporate in the application design frame work.
o Contractor shall use Oracle 11g database platform for data collection, and also follow the table naming standard provided by OIT when creating tables.

State has a document repository system, FileNet, which is used to convert paper forms and other documents received from applicants into electronic image format. FileNet system is hosted by another State Agency. The contractor shall configure module to interface with FileNet system to automatically update the scanned document(s) against the applicant’s checklist. The contractor shall ensure that information transmitting to FileNet system from other agency’s machines shall be encrypted and compatible with FileNet.

The contractor shall be aware that a requirement for data transfer is the use of xml technology. Should data transfer issues arise in the development of deliverables, the contractor shall ensure that xml technology is employed as appropriate.

Required skills:
o Prior experience with Sun One Application Server – 5 years
o Prior experience migrating J2EE to Glassfish – 2 years
o JDK 1.6 software kit – 5 years
o Prior experience with File Documentation software (i.e. Filenet, Documentum etc) – 5 years
o Oracle database (9i and above) – 5 years
o Prior experience writing complex database query scripts – 5 years
o XML data transfer – 5 years
o Exposure to Solaris Operating system – 3 years
o FileNet, ISRA (IBM scanning product) – 1 year
o Prior experience with educational systems – 1 year
