.NET Programmer

Quantum Tech Staffing is seeking a .NET Programmer for a contract position in Hamilton, NJ.

The .NET Programmer is responsible for presentation layer and functional layer application development and programming for the agency project. It will also include upgrades on other systems.

Preferred Education:4 year college degree or equivalent technical study

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of design and development of new and existing systems for applications involving Visual Studio and VSS.

Roles and Responsibilities:

o Analyze and design upgrades, development programs, and/or required fixes to production problems.
o Design applications to functional and technical programming standards.
o Work with Functional Architects to gather and interpret user requirements into design specifications.
o Develop system specifications and interfaces.
o Determine time estimates and schedule for work.
o Moderate to advanced functional and process knowledge.
o Assist in managing and directing Application Team processes.
o Coordinate work with other software developers on Application Teams.
o Assist Team Lead or Test Team Lead in monitoring estimated-time-to-complete (ETC) and actuals for assigned tasks
o Develop application designs in support of the systems specifications and interfaces, perhaps in conjunction with application or technical architects.
o Operating System expertise sufficient to perform performance and tuning diagnostics.
o Work with users to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
o Execution of all responsibilities with little direct supervision of Team Lead.
o Generally aware of new developments in industry and process and has ability to apply them to work as appropriate.
o Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team.
o Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner.
o Identify and track issues, risks and action items.
o Candidate should have the ability to work independently on the development of the upgrades and version changes to the existing application.
o Candidate will be able to phone interview for this position, but must be available to work 100% of the time in Hamilton, NJ.
Required skills:

o Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 – 5 years
o Microsoft Visual Source Safe – 5 years
o Oracle 10g experience – 1 year
o MS SQL Experience – 1 year
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
